Pasová kontrola za 20 sekund pohledem do kamery
Jestliže často využíváte jedno z níže uvedených letišt, můžete se vyhnout zdlouhavé pasové kontrole a to registrací s IRIS, jenž vám umožní projít pasovou kontrolou pouhým pohledem do speciální kamery. Služba je to bezplatná, registrace zabere 5-10 minut a vše je založeno na faktu, že duhovka každého člověka je jedinečná. K registraci budete potřebovat platný pas či cestovní průkaz a palubní lístek. Nebudete požádáni vyplnit žádný formulář, ovšem může vám být položeno několik dotazů ohledně vašeho imigračního statusu. Jestliže budete vyhovovat podmínkám, budou vytvořeny fotografie vaší tváře a duhovky, které budou uloženy do databáze. Od tohoto okamžiku se můžete vyhýbat klasické pasové kontrole a na místo toho využívat IRIS vchod, jímž projdete za cca 20 sekund.
IRIS schéma je v provozu na následujících letištích:
- 4 Heathrow terminály
- Manchaster terminál 1 a 2
- Birmingham terminál 1
- Gatwick Jížní a Severní terminál
Registraci provedete v tzv. IRIS enrolment room a to v následujících hodinách (informace jsou uvedeny z srpna 2010. Pro aktualizaci užijte odkaz zde).
- Heathrow terminal 1: 0630 to 1830, on the right before you reach the shops.
- Heathrow terminal 2: Closed until further notice.
- Heathrow terminal 3: 0800 to 1830, and 1900 to 2030, opposite the BAA security desk, before you reach the duty-free shops.
- Heathrow terminal 4: From 21 June 2010, the IRIS enrolment room will be open from Monday to Friday, 1000 to 1645. The office is located on the departure level of terminal 4; after passing through the security gates turn left and follow the signs for gate 3. Before reaching gate 3, there is a sign for the multifaith prayer room - the IRIS office is next to this.
- Heathrow terminal 5: 0730 to 1930, on the departure level of the main building 5A near the VAT desk and on your right as you approach Southern Security. Please note that the enrolment room will be closed on 24, 25, 26 and 31 December 2009, and on 1 January 2010.
- Manchester terminal 1: 0615 to 1200, from the 01 January 2010, this will change to 0615 to 1800, near gate 20.
- Manchester terminal 2: Closed until further notice - see below.
- Gatwick North: 0730 to 1330, turn right as you enter the departure lounge and follow the signs for gates 59 to 63. The IRIS room is at the bottom of the spiral ramp.
- Gatwick South: Closed from 25 April 2010 until further notice - see below.
- Birmingham terminal 1: 0800 to 1200 and 1500 to 2000, on the left of the departure ramp before you reach gate 56.
